2024 turned out to be a really good year as was thrilled to be selected for the Summer Exhibition.
I printed a limited edition of 50 called ‘In My Mind’ which sold out in 3 weeks. I was blown away by the response and was really moved how the print seemed to resonate with people.
The print was based on a shot that was taken of my youngest daughter, Martha. As a teenager she had had quite a tough time through all the lockdowns , social media and difficult friendship issues which was /very challenging for her mental health. The first time I felt a glimpse of optimism in her improvement was seeing this shot taken of her when she finally ventured out . I felt a little switch of joy as she looks like she’s finally turning to a brighter future.
I had so many messages from buyers how they had had simular experiences and had felt that from seeing ‘In My Mind ‘ in the blue room curated by Cornelia Parker.
I’m pleased to say that she’s now a much more fulfilled and happier young women.
